I oversee tourism and sports. I have been recommending books for years. Before that, I was involved in something completely different, following the lead of uncongenial schools. I enjoy black and white photography, playing fierce basketball games with/against my children and traveling, but not unnecessarily far. Despite the job I have, books have not grown on me, quite the contrary! I am a very moody reader and perhaps a tad scattered. I eschew hot air and ask for a few ounces of truth from a book, first and foremost. One of the best books I have read was Tolstoy's War and Peace, which thrilled me so much at the time of reading it I fear picking it up once again.
