I am Lorenza and I am the curator of this website. I have sighed and changed idea and rethought again and again, I have encouraged and spurred my collaborators for months to finally publish it. This is my job: aside from reading and selling books, I take care of communication in the store. I prepare the posters for every event, I arrange the invites, and I send the emails. I prepare the bibliographies that are handed to me by the kids’ department, and I sort the winter and summer ones for narrative. I hand out fliers in schools and kindergartens. I book trains, organize, and cook dinners for our authors. I love for my work to be perfect, so I always search for the perfect picture, and if I cannot find it, I try taking it myself. I come up with slogans, I choose the font. I take care of apostrophe and header, margin, and centering. I’ll start ten different jobs at once and soon find myself snowed under covers to scan, dates to remember, books to order, and mountains of papers with print tryouts gone awry. I’m not as precise and orderly as Berni, I’m a bit more like my grandfather, who had carved a saying on the door of his laboratory, or rather his kingdom: “In my muddle I can find everything: you who enter shall respect it”.
